Glossary of Terms Used

Anchors: Depending upon the type of foundation your carport or building will be assembled on - we use lag bolts for wood and concrete anchors, rebar anchors approximately 3' long are used for ground or asphalt installation.
Base Rails: The square 2.25" galvanized tubing is used to set the legs or side bars of your carport or building upon.
Bow Rails: These are the square 2.25" galvanized rails that form the roof of your carport or building. The angle of the rails determine the pitch of the roof for your carport or building.
A-Frame Boxed Eves: This is a style choice you can make to box in the eves of your carport. You can also choose the color of trim to complete this style.
Braces: Roof braces are installed on carports to enhance the stability of the carport with additional weight due to snow or ice. In addition, wind braces are installed on carports, one going from every bow to leg on the sides. There is an extra charge for braces. Additional braces for wider buildings can be purchased as an optional feature.
Entry and Garage Doors: Garage doors come in specific size and can be custom sized for an additional charge.
Legs: These are the square tubing installed on the sides of your carport or building that determines the height of the side wall.
Paneling: We use 29-gauge galvanized steel panels with a baked enamel finish for your roofing and walls of your carports/buildings. We offer 10 attractive colors to choose from.
Trim: All carports have decorative trim used to give a finish appearance. Trim color can be chosen by the customer.
Windows and Doors: We offer a variety of entry doors, garage doors and windows to complete your project.
